FantaSciCon 2008 - March 21-23, 2008
Outlaw Heroes
There have been many heroes down through the ages but the most outstanding are those who have defended the downtrodden to the point of being persecuted, relentlessly, or have had to hide their true identity to protect others from the forces of evil. So the video list for this theme will include Zorro, Robin Hood, Riddick, The Three
Musketeers, Conan and Kull the Conqueror as well as Superman, Batman, The X Men, Spiderman, the Hulk ad infinitum.
FantaSciCon 2009 – March 20-22, 2009
High Crusade
This theme is based on a Poul Anderson book, The High Crusade, where aliens invade a small English village right smack dab in the middle of the Hundred Years’ War during the 14th century. Hence the theme is centered around Aliens and Knights. Our list of movies will include such greats as The Alien Movies, The Predator series, Independence Day, The Species trilogy as well as First Knight, A Knights Tale, Lady Hawk, Excaliber and many more. For an enjoyable read I highly recommend the book.

2010 – A Space Oddity
The name of this theme says it all. Spaceballs, Mars Attacks, Spaced Invaders, Galaxy Quest, if it’s a Space Spoof, we’ll find it. We need all the Space Goofs to help us out. The more outrageous, the better.
FantaSciCon 2011 – March 18-20, 2011
Sanity Adventure Break
With all the insanity we will be throwing at everyone for “2010 A Space Oddity” we have decided to give everyone a break and do adventure movies for 2011. This way we can work in great movies such as the Highlander series, The Indiana Jones trilogy (#4, I keep hearing about, might even be out by then), Tomb Raiders, Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile, King Solomon’s Mines, The Librarian and many more.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy All Stars
Yes, “All Stars”. All our movies for this theme will begin with “Star”. Star Trek, Starwars, Stargate, Starman, Star Fighters, Star Ship Troopers, Stardust. If there is a movie that begins with Star…., well you know the rest.
